Body Contouring FAQs
1. What is non invasive body contouring?

Body contouring treatments use technology like cavitation, radio frequency, and vacuum therapy to help reduce stubborn fat, smooth cellulite, and tighten skin without surgery, needles, or downtime.

2. Does body contouring hurt?
Most clients find treatments comfortable or even relaxing. You may feel warmth, vibration, or suction depending on the service, but it should never be painful.

3. Who is a good candidate?
Anyone close to a stable weight who wants to reduce stubborn areas or improve firmness and texture. It’s not a weight-loss treatment but rather a targeted shaping solution.

4. How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need 4–10 sessions depending on the area, their goals, and how their body responds. Thin or sensitive clients may need fewer sessions; clients with more fluid or fat may need more.

5. When will I see results?
Many clients notice changes after 1–3 sessions, with optimal results showing 2–10 weeks after your final treatment as the body continues to clear waste and build fresh collagen.

6. How long do results last?
Results are long-lasting with a balanced lifestyle. Maintenance sessions every 4–12 weeks can help keep the area toned and tight.

7. Can I exercise after treatment?
Yes — light movement like walking is encouraged to support lymphatic drainage. For fat cavitation, avoid intense workouts for 24 hours. For RF skin tightening, normal exercise is usually fine.

8. Do I need to drink water before and after sessions?
Absolutely. Hydration is essential for lymphatic drainage. Aim for at least 1–2 litres of water on treatment days.
9. Are there any side effects?
Mild redness, warmth, slight swelling, or temporary tenderness are normal. These usually settle within a few hours.
10. Is body contouring safe?
Yes. Treatments are non-invasive and have been used safely worldwide for many years when performed by trained professionals. At Refine Body Clinic, your comfort and safety are our priority.
11. How do I prepare for my appointment?
-
Drink plenty of water
-
Avoid heavy meals 2 hours prior
-
Avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day
-
Exfoliate 24 hours before for smoother vacuum gliding (optional)
12. What should I avoid after treatment?
-
Alcohol (24 hours)
-
Saunas and very hot showers (12–24 hours)
-
Intense exercise (after cavitation only)
-
Heavy meals immediately after
-
Applying oils or heavy creams to treated area for 12 hours
13. How Often Should You Book Body Contouring?
Everyone’s body is unique, so your treatment schedule depends on two things:
1. How much inflammation your body naturally holds, and
2. How quickly your lymphatic system can clear waste after a session.
Below is a simple guide to help you understand what’s best for you:
Clients Who Can Book Every 3 Days

This timing usually suits clients who:

-
Have more body fat or multiple areas they want to treat
-
Have a slower metabolism
-
Experience mild swelling or fluid retention
-
Don’t feel sensitive or inflamed after sessions
-
Feel completely fine after their first appointment (no headaches, fatigue, bloating, or nausea)
Why this works:
Their body can comfortably handle quicker fat breakdown and moves lymphatic waste efficiently, so more frequent sessions are safe and effective.

Clients Who Need 7 Days Between Sessions

A longer spacing is ideal for clients who:

-
Are slender, lean, or athletic
-
Have a very fast metabolism
-
Get headaches, fatigue, swelling, or nausea after treatments
-
Have sensitive digestion or inflammation (IBS, gastritis, histamine intolerance)
-
Experience fluid retention, hormonal migraines, or feel easily overwhelmed by detox processes
Why this works:
These bodies need more time to clear waste after each session. Spacing treatments 7 days apart helps avoid overloading the lymphatic system and ensures better long-term results.

Simple Rule of Thumb

-
More fat or more fluid = 3–4 day intervals
-
Less fat or sensitive system = 7 day intervals
-
If combining treatments (Cavitation + RF) and you feel sore or tired, spacing sessions 7 days apart is usually best.

14. Can I schedule fat cavitation or RF treatments for different body parts close together?

Yes. If the areas are not overlapping (for example, stomach and buttocks), you can usually treat them every 3–4 days, even if you are slender or more sensitive. These areas use different lymphatic pathways, so the body can manage the workload more easily.

What about areas that are close together?

If the areas share the same drainage zone (such as stomach + waist + lower back), they can create inflammation in the same region. For these combinations, it’s best to allow 5–7 days between sessions.

I’m slender or have a sensitive system. Does that change my scheduling?

If you’re naturally lean or you experience symptoms such as:

-
headaches
-
fatigue
-
nausea
-
bloating or swelling
then your body may need longer to process waste from treatment. In this case, 7-day spacing is recommended, even when treating different areas.

General Scheduling Guide

-
Different body parts (non-adjacent): every 3–4 days
-
Same region or shared lymph area: every 5–7 days
-
Sensitive metabolism or inflammation-prone: 7 days between all sessions
